East Norriton, PA - February 12, 2008 - Executives at ActiveStrategy, Inc., a
leader in strategy execution, announced today that they have chosen Anaheim, CA as the first stop
in 2008 for their well-attended seminar series on strategy execution for senior level executives and
managers. Entitled How to Accelerate Results through Strategy Execution,
this seminar takes place on March 11 and 12, 2008, at the Disney Grand Californian Hotel. Attendees
will learn how to build strategy maps, create or fine-tune top-level Balanced Scorecards, as well
as how to successfully cascade and utilize scorecards, linking high-level strategy to various
organizational areas for effective deployment and ongoing performance improvement.
“Many organizations lack the ability to link strategic plans to effective execution,
resulting in lost opportunities and sub-par performance,” says Jack Steele, CEO and Co-Founder of ActiveStrategy. “That is why we are inviting executives and managers of a wide-range
of organizations to attend this practical, hands-on seminar, which goes beyond theory to help them
actually execute strategy and improve organizational performance, alignment, and accountability.”
The How to Accelerate Results through Strategy Execution seminar is
ideal for senior level executives and managers responsible for carrying out strategic plans, driving
organizational performance excellence, or managing strategic quality efforts at any type of
organization. This seminar is especially well suited to organizations already beginning to develop a
Balanced Scorecard or strategic dashboard and looking for ways to ensure a successful deployment
and results. All breakout sessions will feature concrete examples, facilitated group work, and
examples of how each concept is applied within an automated Strategy Execution framework.
Additional sessions will highlight:
- Ways to select the right measures and targets for effective scorecards
- How best to allocate resources for improvement projects
- Ways to use Lean Six Sigma improvement concepts to drive strategic change
- How to review scorecards effectively to drive continual focus on strategy execution
While in Anaheim, the seminar will include a dedicated “hospital track” designed for
attendees from hospitals and health systems. This track will follow the same syllabus as the general
track, but will include examples and discussions germane to healthcare executives. Later in 2008,
the seminar series will include a track for government and public sector organizations.
ActiveStrategy continues to assemble only the top, foremost experts in strategy execution and
organizational performance to lead the seminar workshops. The following instructors will be walking
attendees through these crucial topics:
- Jack Steele is a former Baldrige examiner and sought-after thought leader who has worked with
and consulted for some of the world's largest corporations, helping them achieve multiple national
awards for performance improvement, as well as dramatic business results.
- Michael Brazukas has studied and applied Strategy Execution for more than a decade at a wide
array of Fortune 100, government, and mission-based organizations and now heads ActiveStrategy’s
Consulting Practice.
- Jeffrey Bunting has a unique ability to apply technology to achieve business results via
Strategy Execution and has managed several multi-national software-enhanced Balanced Scorecard
deployments.
- Pete DuBois has extensive corporate, industry, and global management consulting experience,
focused in the areas of operations management, business transformation, and IT management.
- Kathleen Penley is a senior Baldrige examiner and expert consultant in strategic planning,
performance improvement, and performance excellence methodologies.
- Tim Schanne has 17 years of consulting experience in the healthcare industry, building top-level
scorecards, deploying cascaded scorecards, and coaching executives on performing business reviews.
This is the fourth consecutive year that ActiveStrategy has hosted this event, having traveled
from coast to coast, helping hundreds of satisfied executives in major cities across the United
States, including Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, and San Francisco. According to one such attendee,
Stephanie Waszkiewicz, Senior Project Manager of Health Plan Service Administration at Kaiser
Permanente, “I appreciate the varied experience of the presenters and the fabulous tools for
moving our organization from just talking about execution and improved performance to actually
executing and improving performance.”
Due to the overwhelming response to the seminars, the company has chosen to reach even more
executives by expanding the series, with additional tracks, such as one focused on the healthcare
industry, as well as additional cities in 2008, including Montreal, Quebec, St. Louis, Missouri,
Nashville, Tennesse, and Norfolk, Virginia.
