In 2002, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville began deploying a government-wide strategic planning and performance measurement initiative called “Results Matter.” This initiative has sought to launch a “managing for results” methodology into the systems and culture of the Nashville government. Thirty-eight departments and agencies began the Results Matter program by producing Strategic Business Plans that focus on both operational and strategic elements. With ASE’s enhanced tools like dashboards and briefing books, Nashville will have real-time views of its Business Plans.
