Plymouth Meeting, PA – December 3, 2009 – ActiveStrategy, Inc., the leading provider of performance management software and consulting for hospitals and co-founder of the HLQAT Institute, will be presenting a learning lab at the 21st Annual National Forum on Quality Improvement in Healthcare on Sunday, December 6th, 2009.

The Learning Lab, titled "Leadership Tools for Improving Clinical Practice," will be a hands-on educational session about HLQAT, the Hospital Leadership and Quality Assessment Tool. During the learning lab, Tim Schanne, of ActiveStrategy's healthcare practice and member of the HLQAT advisory group, will walk attendees through the process of using this unique, evidence-based survey tool, which identifies gaps in leadership processes that have been proven to drive quality outcomes.

The HLQAT is a web-based self-assessment instrument that identifies 12 domains, or categories, of leadership capacity and commitment. In participating hospitals, a cross-section of board members, senior leaders, and clinical managers take the HLQAT survey. Hospitals are able to identify areas for improvement in leadership activities by looking at reports that examine internal results and comparisons with national results.

ActiveStrategy will also be an exhibitor at the National Forum for the 6th consecutive year. The event, which draws 5,500 attendees from around the world, is produced by IHI, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
