Executing Strategy, Achieving Results, the ActiveStrategy Spring 2005
Conference, was packed with insightful presentations, practical tools, and
powerful networking opportunities for organizations at every step along the
“Performance Management Journey.”
Attendees represented incredibly diverse industries and geographies and
included executives and managers from AstraZeneca, Bristol Myers Squibb,
ChevronTexaco, General Dynamics, GMAC Commercial Mortgage, Intel, Kaiser
Permanente, Miami-Dade County, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Northrop Grumman, SSM
Health Care, University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, The Washington Post,
Wyeth, and more.
Chairman and CEO, Jack Steele set the stage with the question: if your
organization is not achieving your desired results today, how are you going to
change? His discussion both inspired and provided realistic ways conference
attendees can bring about change in their organizations to drive long-term
business results.
The dynamic keynote speaker, VP Corporate Business Process Excellence with The
Coca-Cola Company, built upon the theme, exploring the evolution of the
Business Process Excellence initiative within an organization that has
traditionally resisted change.
Other presentation topics: creating self-sustaining value with a Balanced
Scorecard framework; continuing the Performance Management Journey after
winning a Baldrige Award; rolling out a Performance Management framework within
a 30,000-person organization; techniques for aligning your vision, your
strategy and your scorecards. Case studies from ActiveStrategy clients in
various industries described impressive results they’d seen to date.
New to this year’s conference were special breakout sessions for health care
organizations. These popular workshops were led by high-level executives from
some of today’s most progressive hospitals and health systems. The focus for
these sessions was how to make the necessary, but difficult, leap from a focus
on patient-level clinical quality to a more holistic view of hospital
performance management.
In addition, attendees were able to see new product demonstrations and service
offerings, providing a first-hand look at how powerful the ActiveStrategy
software suite can be. Through the unique combination of leading technology and
experiential business consulting, ActiveStrategy can help create
strategy-driven, results-oriented, performance-accountable organizations.
We look forward to seeing you at the next ActiveStrategy Conference.
