Miami-Dade County Park and Recreation Department operates and manages 258 park properties and serves 2.5 million residents countywide. The Department has achieved great success in their journey toward excellence, including receiving the Florida Sterling Award in 2009—Florida’s state-level Baldrige Award program, widely recognized as one of the best state programs in the U.S.
