Since 2004, ActiveStrategy has been collaborating with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Iowa College of Public Health (HMP), and several state hospital associations to investigate, analyze, and make recommendations on what factors drive quality improvement in healthcare.

The multi-year project has studied various aspects of leadership’s impact on quality initiatives, executive perceptions regarding hospital quality improvement, and an analysis of hospital board performance dashboards and scorecards.
